OUR COMMITMENT
We invest and operate responsibly and believe that strong corporate and individual citizenship go hand-in-hand. We understand that responsible investing enhances risk and return characteristics through deliberate and thoughtful integration of environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) best practices.
As an investment manager, we have a duty to act in the best long-term interests of our beneficiaries. In this fiduciary role, we believe that ESG issues affect the performance of investment portfolios to varying degrees across asset classes, sectors, regions, and through time.
ENHANCING RETURNS THROUGH ESG & SUSTAINABILITY
We seek to be an industry leader in our integration of ESG practices across our business and in our communities.
TRACKING & COMMUNICATING RESULTS
Where appropriate and possible in the context of our fiduciary responsibilities, we seek to meet or exceed the following standards in our pursuit of our ESG and responsible investment objectives:
Principles for Responsible Investment
Bridge is a signatory of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (“UN PRI”). We have committed to adopt the principles for responsible investment by incorporating environmental, social, and governance issues into investment analysis and decision-making processes, active ownership practices, appropriate investment disclosures, industry promotion, collaboration, and UN PRI implementation progress reports.
Sustainable Development Goals
We support the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and report on relevant UN SDG metrics in our semi-annual IRIS impact reports.
Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) – IRIS
We are members of the Global Impact Investing Network and have incorporated their Impact Reporting Investment Standards (IRIS) in reporting ESG-related information to investors in our Workforce and Affordable Housing strategy.
Taskforce on Climate Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)
We are a supporter of the Taskforce on Climate Related Financial Disclosures and are seeking to further integrate climate risk assessments into our investment due diligence process.
Investor Network on Climate Risk (INCR)/CERES
We are committed to be a leader in building a sustainable future for people and the planet, beginning at our assets and in our communities. We have partnered with Ceres to help transform the economy to achieve this goal.
Freddie Mac Green Advantage
As one of the first to participate in Freddie Mac’s Green Advantage program and through the Bridge Green Initiatives program, Bridge is committed to be a leader in environmental stewardship and conservancy at our assets and in our communities.
Communicating Results
We provide reporting and communication that is based on the highest industry standards such as those established by the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA) and others. We provide detailed information that enables our valued investors to understand the underlying financial and non-financial drivers of investment results. We strive to provide an investor experience that equals our high expectations.
