MANAGING DIRECTOR & HEAD OF EMEA, CLIENT SOLUTIONS GROUP

Claudius Weissbarth serves as Managing Director of EMEA in the Client Solutions Group of Bridge Investment Group and has over 15 years of experience in various roles across global real estate including private real estate investments, public global real estate investments and portfolio managed and a decade of capital formation experience with global institutional investors. In this role at Bridge, he is responsible for developing and managing Bridge’s European and Middle Eastern client relationships and local set-up.

Before joining Bridge Investment Group, Claudius was Managing Director, Head of EMEA Business Development and Capital Raising at Greystar. In this role, he was responsible for European and Middle Eastern investor relationships and facilitated over $4bn equity investments from this region to drive Greystar’s business expansion with investments being set-up across several countries globally. Prior to joining Greystar in 2017, Claudius served as Executive Director at J.P. Morgan AM and their Global Real Assets division, where he was responsible for EMEA based investors and J.P. Morgan’s global real asset offering including real estate, infrastructure and maritime. Additionally, he lead fundraising efforts with global institutional investors to J.P. Morgan’s European real estate investments.

From 2013 to 2015, Claudius worked at BlackRock as a Director, where he was responsible for business development, fundraising, and product structuring for global real estate offerings with European clients. From 2009 to 2013, Claudius worked as Director at Forum Securities Ltd., a team spin-out of Citigroup Property Investor’s global real estate securities business where he was part of the portfolio management team investing through long-only and hedged strategies in global and emerging market REITs and Real Estate Operating Companies. In 2005, Claudius was an Associate at Citigroup Property Investors responsible for investments across Europe with a focus on German residential investments, on behalf of Citi’s Euro $1.1bn European Opportunistic Real Estate Fund. Claudius received his Diplom-Betriebswirt degree from University of Regensburg, Germany, and the European Master of Business Science (EMBS), awarded jointly by Reading University, UK, and University of Regensburg, Germany.
